Shove is a motivational quote app built by Ryan Lekuku. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we handle and how.
We collect no personal information. Shove does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any identifying information.
Your favorite quotes and notification schedule are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us.
When you use the AI quote generation feature, a request is sent to Anthropic's API. This request contains only the quote category you selected — no personal data is included. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to these requests and can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.
If you enable notifications, Shove uses Apple's notification system to deliver motivational quotes at your chosen times. All notification preferences are stored locally on your device.
Shove uses the following third party services:
• Anthropic Claude API — for AI-generated quotes. No personal data is shared.
• Apple Push Notifications — for scheduled quote delivery.
Shove is rated 12+ on the App Store. The app is not directed at children under 12 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data at risk. All locally stored preferences use Apple's standard storage mechanisms.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through an app update with a revised date on this page.
